Nothing

by The Pessimistic Peabody   May 8, 2007

A lot of people tell me
You are exactly what you got
So in that case I must be nothing
Because, of that I have a lot

I got 3 friends and few family
Who really truly care
No money and no job
Maybe life just isn't fair

I have no dreams of the future
I don't hope, but I pray
That god won't think I'm nothing
and enrich my life someday

I often help others in need
But I get nothing in return
I shouldn't expect a single thing
I'm nothing, why don't I learn?

I once was afraid of nothing
Until i knew i was wasting space
Then I thought of suicide
But was scared of the pain I'd face

You would think I'm nothing
If you had ever met me
You might put on a fake smile
But you would soon forget me
