Dual-Minded

by Patrick   May 8, 2007

Twas a rain stained night when I waited lone,
Waited lone, for tonight a felon crept,
Crept throughout my home.

I sat in my chamber chair,
I sat sturdy, I sat still,
I sat in my chamber chair,
Till I was unaware.

Just then, a sound struck my ear,
The sound leaped,
It attacked, it crept!

I glanced to my right,
To my right stood bitter night,
I glanced to my left,
To my left stood a grim theft!

I spotted a demon waiting, waiting,
Waiting to strike! Waiting on my life!
The felon lay with slanted eyes,
Slanted upon my dreary guise.

I arose from my slumber,
O the kill,
The kill called to me once more.

Twas a rain stained night when I waited lone,
Waited lone, for tonight my prey wept,
Wept as my blade swept.

I've waited in a foreign house,
Foreign to my senses dull,
Soon to be stained with my knife full.

With blade in hand,
I jumped to my feet,
Thrusting my beat,
I struck my foe a brutal greet.

Into the stomach,
Turn, and pull,
Into the stomach,
Emotions null.
