Zero impact

by Iola   May 8, 2007

I cannot deal with this

agony inside.

Even the rays of a brand new day

Makes me want to hide.

Shallow tears impatiently burning

On my upper cheek.

Why is my soul starving today

I feel unmistakably weak.

My loved ones look at me and think

"What a stunning child".

Acting out my life with undeniable talent

But my soul stays roaring and wild.

Let me free into untamed forests

Into stretching desert sand.

I need an indefinite change in my life

No longer tall and grand.
