Spread the news (Tale of a murder)

by isabel   May 8, 2007

And there I go, singing the blues
They're telling my life, spreading the news
Telling all the secrets that i had
Making things up, making me sad

My patience has come to an end
Me, you'll never again offend
Sick of you, I took the knife
My decision is to end your life

Late at night, it was cold and dark
I saw you walking through the park
I craved your heart and let it bleed
There is no tree without a seed

Be careful with the things you tell
Secrets aren't something you can sell
I might get hurt with what you said
That means, that you'll soon be dead

And there I go, singing the blues
They're telling my life, spreading the news
[[I really liked the first lines. It drew me in.]]
There is no tree without a seed
[[I LOVED this line. May I use it, by chance?]]
Be careful with the things you tell
Secrets aren't something you can sell
[[Again, I LOVED this line. I'm about to steal your quotes. XD Just kidding! Don't worry, I won't.]]

    I really liked this.
Perhaps you should make it longer though; you had some good stuff in it, it just seemed way too short. Why'd you kill her? When? Ect.

    Oh I frikken ADORE this!
The opening stanza was so strong, it really pulled me in and from there on it just got better and better.
Flow was flawless throughout, imagery created vivid ictures and word choice and the rhyme scheme were a pleasure to read.
I loved the ending, I found it to be very intense and hard hitting.
