OUR FANTASTIC ADVENTURE

As sleepy eyes droop

our imagination whisks us away

to the land of make believe

where the sun shines all day

upon our trusty old pirate ship

sailing for miles and miles

on a fantastic adventure

a day filled with smiles

riding waves of blue wonder

barely a cloud in the sky

looking far yonder

land catches our eye

wondrous island ahead

dropping anchor with a splash

throwing our gear in the rowboat

Josh and mommy off in a flash

greeted by Mickey and Minnie

also a quacking Donald Duck

festival party in full gear

can't believe our good luck

yellow star fish dancing

as turtle whistles to the beat

of the crab's thumping pinchers

nature's music so sweet

warm sand between our toes

nodding off in the sun for a nap

knowing we will return soon

dreams and imagination our map

    This poem made me laugh at the memories that went through my head,, thinkng of when i went to disney land wen was a child,, i loved this poem,, for so long i have hated my mother bcz she did not aprove of my boyfriend becoming my husband,, anyway u made me think of her again with your poem,, of the good memories that we had together,, lol im going to go call her,, lol,, thnxxxx
