When you get ready

by silence   May 8, 2007

You were here
To comfort me
When no one in
The world could see

You made me smile
When times got rough
And let me know
When you'd had enough

We'd fight and fuss
Day to day
But never would I imagine
You would go away

Yet you did
You left me here
So that I could face
My worst fear

Nowhere to turn
No shoulder to cry on
I just turned my head
And you were gone

For so many months
I knew nothing
And deep inside
I was hurting

I sat alone and worried
Every day and night
Where were you sleeping
Was everything alright

Especially when I had to answer
'Where's my daddy josh?'
I had to make up lies
And his head I had to wash

Wash of the memories
Both the good and the bad
And even trying to do this
Makes me very sad

When your grandmother called
And said even she didn't know
I realized I was scared
My feelings I had to show

But now I've found out
That you're okay
But I guess you'll let me know
When you get ready someday

I haven't seen my boyfriend of 3 years since the beginning of January and I just found out that he contacted a friend of mine and asked about my son. I just had to get my feelings out one last time.

Wow, so much emotion! It made me cry, cause in the same sence i am somewhat going through that myself. My son is 3 and just recently started seeing his dad because of his sister. But anyways, GREAT job, keep up the good work!
