Each time I came to see you
Thinking that you were faithful and true
But I was wrong for it was a lie
You said you wished I would die.
So I stood there with no belief
Then I left with such relief
Thank you for hurting me so
For I learned that you had to go.
I used to let life pass me by
until the day you gave that black eye
For that's the day i learned for sure
That pain is what I would not endure.
You tried to send me to my grave
But the abuse is something I did not crave
Then my tears set me free
When I told you that you had to leave.
You said your sorry for you did not see
The pain that you caused to me
But I did not fall for you lie
And all you did was let out a sigh.
So here I sit, full of pride
As I went on that roller coaster ride
Cause that what you were
And I knew that for sure.
