As I lay Dying (Lyrical)

As I lay Dying,
I think How could they do this?
But even as I do I see your sorrow.

As I lay Dying,
I feel the pain receding.
I realize that I cannot escape it now.

As I lay Dying,
I see you standing crying.
You fall onto your knees and say “I’m Sorry”.

As I lay Dying,
I look into your eyes.
I see how much you wish that this was not goodbye.

As I lay Dying,
This Dagger in my Chest.
I tell you “Don’t you grieve for me, but put my soul to rest”.

As I lay Dying,
The pool of blood is growing.
I know you did this not of spite but confusion.

As I lay Dying,
The blood covers your hands.
I whisper with my last breath “I Forgive You”.

Now I am falling,
I hear your voice is fading.
“I promise to live my life to the fullest”.

Now I am soaring,
Looking at your face.
I know that this is not the last I’ll see of you.
