My Walk Through Life

by PoeticJustice   May 8, 2007

Sometimes when I walk at night
I close my eyes to reflect my walk through life
And I use the curb to guide me through, like my believes and philosophies that keep me on the right track
I avoid mail boxes and trees the way
I avoid lies and corruption
And I walk over parked cars on the road
The same way I overcome obstacles and accomplish my goals
Though my mind swells full of thoughts of fear of walking through the night with my eyes closed and a path I have no choice to change.
I trust in the curb to keep me safe, to keep me on the right track with the least amount of danger, and a way to my destiny and home.
Many nights and days I have walked up the road with my eyes closed to the bad but my mind open to the good
The same way I walk through my life, with my mind closed to all the lies and fears but my trust held in my ambition to take me to my place.
