Waving and Drowning

by xEmmax   May 8, 2007

I called to you
When I was breaking
A moment of sweeping desperation
Gripped me so tightly
I was shaking

I held out my hand
When I was afraid
My wrist so swollen and bruised
A dangerous decision
I willingly obeyed

I smiled from the icy water
When I was screaming
You thought I was waving to you
You waved back
But I was drowning

I thought of you
When I took them
Each tiny white pill so innocent
So deadly
Like poison

I whispered to you
When I was crying
Tears of crimson fell fast
This was the truth
I was dying
