Eternity

by Hey Brittknee   May 8, 2007

The depths of all eternity
locked behind closed doors
the realization of mortality
as another body hits the floor

The length of life is never seen
locked up deep inside
the lives of others keep going
as every 2 seconds another person has died

Maybe its that Africa has AIDS
Maybe because the United States has pollution
but mortality is inevitable
we still can't find a solution

We have so many things to accomplish
but we only have a short lifetime
it's like trying to write a poem with "orange"
and you just can't find a rhyme

Dare to life your life
take chances if you're able
because this life is like an hourglass
and it's glued to the table

Eternity will go on
locked behind closed doors
life keeps going on without you
like you don't matter anymore

    {Sorry don'y know what happened up there}

GREAT poem!! Nice, powerful topic with words to match.

Note: "Dare to life your life
    takke chances if you're able"

Shouldn't it read: "Dare to live your life
    take chances if you're able"?

    Otherwise a fantastic piece!
