Eight years old (Elementary school sorrows)

by isabel   May 9, 2007

Frozen inside, I coldly stare
Stretch my arms, to reach somewhere
Your heart is a darkened stone
Why can't you leave me alone?

There is nowhere I can hide
The sadist pushed my aside
Fainting, falling into the floor
Blooded sea, can't see the shore

You know, I once was calm and kind
But now you're always in my mind
I lost myself in my own pain
Eight years old girl, going insane

Ohhh this was so heartbreaking..and yet written so beautifully.
The pain and emotions scream the words in this, really tugging on the reader's heart.
Flow is perfect throughout, and imagery was beautifully done.

    Wow
who knew you could feel so strong
    and yet be so young
    I love this poem
Because it shows how even the smallest kids
    can hurt
