Goodbye, but Not Forever

by Just Jade   May 10, 2007

Goodbye, my love
For tonight I leave
The place I call home
Where I wallow and grieve.

I'll think of you always.
Forever, I promise, my dear
But your haunting me,
With each and every tear.

I sit on this train,
And think of you.
Of your laughter and smile,
As I always do.

The train picks up speed,
As my head begins to scream,
But my heart is already mending,
Even with my eyes a stream.

I'll come back, I promise,
And sit beside you.
Tell you of my adventures,
As the sky begins to fade blue.

I'm sorry I had to go,
But someday I will not save,
Myself from death,
So I will lay beside your grave.
Goodbye, but not forever.
