This lie calls for silence,
With just a dash of regret
There's a truth to be told
For the all secrets well kept.
I had a notion that this mattered,
My heart trusted and took down it's guard
I had a feeling I would change my ways
But the truth is, I've never fallen so hard
As life ripped apart my heart at the seams,
You watched with a hint of hesitation,
In exasperation your sincerity died
Your words just weren't meant for conversation
I can honestly say, You broke me down so far
Getting up seemed as impossible as learning how to fly,
But each instance you ignored me,
Was one more chance for me to try...
Try to get my wayward life on track
A chance to overcome my frustrations
Shed some clarity through ignorance,
In a mind so filled with overused phrases.
Apologies mean nothing to me anymore
The lack of which has turned to nothing at all
The colors of shame tend to be blinding,
It's a beauty that deserves no applause.
So let your denial overcome you,
Feel the truth, is what I highly advise,
You can let go of all you thought you knew,
