Why did you go?
I miss your shining smile.
I really miss the times we had,
When we could talk for hours.
We could laugh and never ever stop.
Do you remember laughing,
Till our stomach's hurt in pain.
I remember thinking boys had cuties,
But you said that is silly.
Oh, why did you have to leave me,
I have ever missed you so.
Those were the good times,
when we would run and laugh and play.
But today I still remember that one hot summer day.
That day you told me,
That you were leaving,
and you probably would not come back.
I sat and cried for hours,
because I thought I lost a friend.
But really I did not lose anything,
For we are friends today.
Maybe not for real,
But in my heart you are.
You will always be my friend,
No matter how far away you are.
