I Am

by BeautifulDisaster   May 11, 2007

I am a writer,
Writing my feelings.

I am a daughter,
Hiding the cuts and scars.

I am a sister,
Acting like everything is great.

I am a student,
Putting my fake smile to use.

I am an aunt,
Playing and laughing like I was a child.

I am a friend,
Asking you to be there.

I am a girlfriend,
Begging you to stay.

I am an ex lover,
Telling you to always remember.

I am a neighbor,
Walking my dog like it's nothing.

I am a grand-daughter,
Saying everything is perfect.

I am a patient,
Realizing my true emotions.

I am suicidal,
Thinking of ways to die.

I am all of these things,
And nothing can change it.

Excellent poem. I think this is the best poem you've written. It's very unique, your word choice was excellent and your descriptions were so vivid and deep. I could relate to a bit of this as well.

Keep it up && Take Care! 5/5
