Waiting

by The Pessimistic Peabody   May 11, 2007

Waiting for my death
Not wanting to die
Waiting for the truth
Not wanting a lie

Waiting to be heard
Not wanting to be dumb
Waiting to feel pain
Not wanting to be numb

Waiting for the world
Not wanting to be first
Waiting for a cure
Not wanting this great curse

Waiting for whats fair
Not wanting a whole lot
Waiting for a soul
Not wanting what I've got

I like that you stick to a steady rhythm and rhyme. Your lines all starting the same way in the same pattern is very effective and helps the reader keep with the poem. Nice job!
