Love Games

by Tracy D Rollings   May 11, 2007

I woke up this morning, from a dream I had
crying and scared, I was shaking real bad.

You walked out my door and you didn't say why
my heart was in piece's, as I slowly begin to cry.

Because of a love, that was once so strong
I just can't understand, what went so wrong.

Try to make my way, to the room down the hall
my knees are so weak and I'm trying not to fall.

As I make it to the bedroom door and hit my knees
I look up to heaven and I ask God to tell me please.

Why the love of my life, could just walk out the door
looked me in the eyes and said I can't take anymore.

I never meant to hurt her, but those tear drops started to fall
but then it really hit me, I just lost the greatest love of all.

And now I sit here, knowing that she is gone
I'm finally starting to realize, what I did was wrong.

I played a cheating game, one that you just can't win
the biggest prize of all, is the love you lose in the end.©2007 Tracydr42
