Hate Your Memory

by elly   May 11, 2007

Bite my tongue, choke back these tears
Swallow my hopes, wishes, dreams, desires.
This life for two fell before my very eyes.
Walking with an allusion, a lie

Let's show them our wonderfully carved smiles
You were always good at pretending
My talents far surpass, I admit
But even the best are blinded by themselves

Now the putrid flesh of your memory clouds my senses
Writhing in agony wasn't in this ideal for two

Still, bite my tongue,
Choke back this vengeful desire,
You know I was always a good actor.

[once again, not good, but perfect description of the situation.]
