The Fight (Our Special Place)

by XSugarSexSuicideX   May 11, 2007

She ran up the stairs,
Threw the phone at the table,
And collapsed on her bed,
Tears filling her eyes.
It rang again,
She checked the name on the phone,
And slowly replaced it,
Because it was him.
As soon as it stopped ringing,
She went to her voicemail
And listened to the tearful apology,
Shaking her head sadly.
She dialed up her best friend,
She didn’t pick up either,
So she took her blade up,
And then put it down.
After all this fighting,
She kept her promise,
And she ran to their special place
To sit and cry.
As she crawled to the edge of the river,
Her best friend looked up,
Their wordless apologies
Were punctuated with tears.
As they held each other
And wept tears of joy,
He strode over and
Placed his hand on her shoulder.
She turned and they kissed,
Once again making their special place
The place where all fights were put right,
And lives could be healed, without any words at all.
