Body Count

by Molly Knudsen   May 11, 2007

Lost in a sea of drowning souls,
I see her eyes as black as coals,
I touch her face she's cold as death,
I touch her lips, there is no breath,
I lift her body it's heavy as lead,
Gone is her life for now she's dead,
Her life ended as she went to the store,
Because of one person she is no more.
She was a sister a friend and more,
But now she's gone thanks to a simple war.
