Infrequently Asked Questions

by John Long   May 12, 2007

If the sun shines on the Righteous,
Why does it always seem to rain at funerals?
If our leaders are so fond of children,
Why do they bomb their brothers and sisters in our name?

If tomorrow never comes,
Do I need to set my alarm clock?
If we can be whoever we want to be
And I chose to be you,
Who would be writing this poem?

But this wine is good and if tomorrow doesn't show,
At least the sun feels warm today.

You have penned some amazing questions that we all wish we had the answers to. I have to agree this was quite a unique write and have never read anything quite like it and though it was different I loved it. I was kind of taken aback when I started reading at the questions you asked. Just not prepared to have an answer, but nonetheless, carpe diem. We have but this moment so live it to the utmost and never look back in regret.
