Too Late

by kristine   May 12, 2007

Do you ever cut yourself to see how much you bleed?
The adrenaline rush inside is all you need,
The breath right before you slash the lines,
Pray to god no one sees the signs,
The blade sinks inside,
Skin opens wide,
The damage is done,
Now starts the fun,
Red escapes its vein,
It pours out like rain,
It drips into the porcelain sink,
You realize you cannot think,
Your hand starts to go numb,
You realize what you did was dumb,
Try to hold your head up high,
Feel as though you're about to fly,
You kneel upon the floor,
Reach to pull open the door,
Realizing it's too late,
You wish you couldn't hate,
Love is what I lack,
As my whole world goes black.
