Why?

Why do the storm clouds come and go?
Why does love never leave your heart?
Why can't the world learn to love?
Why must we always be so far apart?

Why did the terrorists bomb the USA?
Why couldn't you realize we were meant to be?
Why do people do absolutely nothing to help?
Why do I keep on even though you don't see?

Why do the hurricanes destroy year after year?
Why do I go through this torture every day?
Why do the people refuse to take the blame?
Why must you always treat me this way?

Why do abortions go on as legalized?
Why couldn't you tell I truly loved you?
Why does crime continue day after day?
Why do I keep going on not knowing what to do?

No one holds the answer to these questions,
And that's why people continue to die.
I wish I knew so I could stop my pain,
But until then I will ask... Why?
