Gardening Advice

Yellow Swallowtail - maybe you can help
Even though I'm strolling through a beauteous garden
And the sun is shining mightily
A shroud of stubbornness and shittiness hangs over me
Perhaps you'll permit me to ride astride your back
As you flit from blossom to blossom

Or you there, Mockingbird
May I hang from your feet
As you sing your song, and the breeze lifts you along?
Why I'll even forego my usual timidity
When it comes to you, buzzy Bumblebee
If you'll just let me fly with you
Above my petty, messy, gloomy goo

But what's that? I hear the flowers
Whispering (as they are wont to do)
Their message loud and clear:
"Oh, snap out of it already
Be thankful you're here!
In a way, you've already flown with them
Both far and near"
