The opening arms of god

by Stephanie Naylor   May 12, 2007

A silent scream
a deadly hollow

a tree trunk
crushing the heart of your existence

a lifeless baby
at the base of life

no longer
holding on by the jaws of life

but can now
go into the opening arms

of the great
one above

GOD

Hmmm this seemed like a poem I have read before, which I really liked. None the less this was quite deep holding impacting emotions portrayed throughout it. I loved the two line stanzas they were effective. A short beautifully sad piece. Well done~mel
