The light of me

As i walk down the path
of life

a great shadow looms
over me, cracking me and

holding me back,
my only love is a freedom

that i will never know
the freedom of my past

though, through all my pain
and bleeding torment

i see a light

a light so bright
it extinguishes the darkness

around me and freeing
of the weight holding me down

for that light is you
my one and only true love

    A nice piece. A few puncuation issues. Again with the none capitalized "I's" The broken lines through me off in some places but over all A good piece. ~mel
