Subside

by Sydney   May 13, 2007

I hear your voice
and I start to drown
You strike me once
and I'm down to the ground

This misery I felt before
does not compare
These crystallized tears
are becoming so bare

That feeling I felt
must no longer be
I'm trying so hard
but I must flee

Theres no escape,
no way to get away
Shall I take this life
and subside to my dismay?

Maybe I should,
the time seems right
I grip the trigger
and pull tight...

As sad poems go, this was a great write. You really write beautiful sad poems. I can't I can relate to this one myself but that doesn't take away that it's an amazing write. I also love the depth and emotion you potrayed here. 5/5

Nice to see how enchanting this piece is. Your words, though they never conjured mental images, certainly generated certain heartrending feelings and emotions. I believed it is the major highlight of this poem. On the whole, this poem was written quite well and sound. Nicely done. 5/5 ~Debbie
