Breaking the habit

Breaking the habit

As he moves onwards,
You lift up your dress,
You close your eyes
And pretend you're not a mess.

The make up that runs
Down those injected cheeks,
Is the only symbol,
Symbol that you're weak.

Paint yourself a masterpiece,
Paint it onto your face,
Oh we're a nation of actors,
Acting as the human race.

You can hear that he's breathing,
You just choose to ignore,
But that doesn't matter,
He's still wanting more.

And you snap out the influence,
Snap out the cure
You're breaking the habit,
But you're not sure who for.

Paint it Onto = Paint it On

who for. = what for. (?)

Great poem. Could be put up for discussion what the meaning is, but other than that, well written poem. Good Job.
