Love's Cost

by Jessica   May 13, 2007

She said she loved him
He said he loved her
But that's just a myth
Life's little curse

I love you now always and forever
His promise to her
Her promise to him
A life chosen is now growing grim

Till death do us part
A common mistake
Every morning to you only you shall i wake
You give and you give and from you i will take

Love's won love's lost
Love's chosen at cost
The price you must pay
To be married today

The life chosen today
Must remain that way
A terrible dishonor
To mother and bride

To find that that day you lied and lied
The tears unheard by child and father
But now why would you bother
You cheated and lied

The laws you defied
The tears the cries
The lonely nights
The silent fears
And those uncaring tears

A life now chosen
But a memory remains
So open your heart
And try it again

Yep, sometimes we marry and have babies with the wrong person, and you have to move on and try again, or you will miss out on that right person... Great Job, and wow... You do an awesome job with writing poems... 5/5
