Old Rugged Cross

I have a cross hung in my room
to watch over me for always
to remind me of how thankful I am
and not just at church on Sundays

It reminds me of my family
so inept yet corky
It reminds me of how great they are
despite how increasingly dorky

It reminds me of my friends
how they always have my back
Even when they someimes seem to hate me
they always get me slack

It reminds me of my love
How he keeps me doing good
even when i don't want to
He reminds me that i should

But most importantly it reminds me of Jesus
And how he saved me with love
And how god does everything stated before
And all where he's watching from above

So the old rugged cross in my room
reminds me of all good in life
And keeps me going no matter what
even through headaches and strife
