Friends... yeah right

Friends come and go
Sometimes they are there
And other times they don't show
But you promised to always be near

I've known you for my whole life
It's hard to watch you leave
Walk out on a heart beat
What caused you so much grief?

Without you by my side
I dont know what I'll do
My emotions and problems held inside
That you used to help me through

You broke your promise to me
About how friends come first
Out of all the lies you made me believe
That one was the worst

Do you even care you left me for him?
An everlasting friend, who was always by your side
Who always made you grin
When all you wanted to do was hide

I wanted to let you know you deserve better
I don't know how you don't see
And when he screws you over
Don't come running back to me
