    This was a sad poem with simplicity and I think that that's what made it a great poem. Every stanza gave a sad meaning. Well done

    Excellent. Very simple, not complex, but it flows brilliantly.

    "I barely touch the surface,
    But a storm brews overhead.
    I was looking for a purpose,
    But found hopelessness instead."

    ^ I absolutely adored this stanza. The last line here is just so despairing and makes the reader feel truly sorry for the persona.

    Wow, I may have gotten the wrong idea out of this...but the idea that I did get I absolutely adore! You have a way of drawing a reader in from the first line and keeping them in until the end where they wish it were longer. Your poems hold so much depth to them. I really enjoyed this one. =]
