Matthew Hall the Soldier

Matthew Hall the Soldier

The battle had been a little more than a day
This soldier marched on for what he believed
He fought on through the punishment recieved

A friendship that had been lost within a war
A soldier forced to fight against his brother
These comrades now fight one another

In the heat of the battle he did not sweat
Though his mind took a turn for the worst
He managed to remember what came first

He did not want to fight this battle anymore
Slowly he regained his past mentality
It brought his mind back to reality

White flags raised from either side
They set aside all their pride
The battle was finally done
These comrades had both won

*Dedicated to Matt, still comrades until the end*
