This is where it ends; and tries to begin again

This is where our journey ends;
Where the new one wants to begin.
But is still stuck in memory of you.
Where we look in every direction looking for you,
But all that is ever found is emptyness.
Maybe it's just me.
Maybe I can't let you go.
Things will change;
They'll get a quieter,
The pain will subside.
But the emptyness will remain.
Where I can't walk in a room
Without my heart going out to you.
Remembering all our laughter
Not having to say a word,
but still there was something funny about it.
It's in these times I'll miss you.
Where you don't know our inside jokes anymore.
They become foreign to you.
It scares me so much,
Because you have become such a big part in my life.
I'm not sure I can let you go on such short notice.
