Lovingly Triangular

by Avrii Monrielle   May 15, 2007

Triangles are so different, with three different points,
When you cut one in half, they split into two,
Straight down the middle of one corner.

Split into two, as the smile you wish to have,
That fades as I stare at you, melting with the air,
An ice chilling the room.

The ice in your gaze as you stare in silence,
Hearing my sweet hello, as if we,
Never fought and were always friends.

I remember you as the night sky pours,
Searching the internet for your posts,
Here I am, wishing, thinking, only of you.

And you, staring at some other screen,
Typing out the words you cannot say,
Hurting me; always for a reason.

The reason this time doesn't hurt;
Me, that is, because I,
Am laughing at your misery.

Laughing, not knowing that you're sad,
Not for us no longer being friends,
But for unrequitted love of one corner.

Split into two, the tidal waves,
I hurt and split with you, trying to hold you together,
Wishing we could go back to friends.

Ripping myself, holding you in my head,
Cheering for no reason,
I think I love you.

Of course, you love her, and call yourself ugly,
Say that you're overweight and too nice,
I love you anyways.

Even though we're far apart, although,
I see you every day, all you see,
Is her, and in reality, she is.

She is, with her blond hair and blue eyes,
Small waist and sweet smile,
Why won't she love you?

We both question this, I trying to make you happy,
You trying to have her,
But she doesn't see you.

Or rather, she doesn't see you,
As I do, with your kind eyes and stupid jokes,
As I dream of us being stupid together.

Together... what a foolish thought, as you stare,
She always gets the thinner guys and say's you're a little big;
I agree - you have the biggest heart out here.

But all we are is a triangle, and it splits down the middle,
As I read what you type and want to cry,
Immersed in one more bout of silence.
