Cries of idioms

by Fsams   May 15, 2007

Remember time and tide wait for none
And well begun is only half done
Giving to the poor is lending to God
And all that glitters are not gold

Work your fingers to the bone
To kill two birds with one stone
Where there's a will there's a way
Leave no stone unturned is what I say

Today you should keep yourself busy
So that you can be free and easy
Slow and steady wins the race
To have a bed of roses in forthcoming days

Never take the law in your hands
Never kill the goose that lay golden eggs
Never put the cart before the horse
In the blink of an eye things may turn worse

Cudgel your brains about the unity
Before you stand on your dignity
And have a good head on your shoulders
Until you give up the ghost.

I really liked this piece of work. You used a very strong vocabulary in this one. Great Job! I really enjoyed these lines:

Work your fingers to the bone
To kill two birds with one stone
    Where there's a will there's a way
Leave no stone unturned is what I say
