Birds Of The Rainbow (Haiku Collection)

by Gem   May 15, 2007

The blushing feathers
On a small Robin Redbreast
Gleam in the sunlight

The tall Flamingo
Flaunts a beautiful image
Of sweet baby pink

Butterscotch yellow
The Canary is singing
A song of summer

The sun burnt colour
Of the Orange Manakin
Is plush and striking

A noble Blue Jay
With royal azure plumage
Swoops across the sky

Gorgeous shades of jade
Decorate the sweet Budgie
Who bids us "hello"

The Purple Chaffinch
With feathers of deep violet
Settles in the trees

Indigo Buntings
Cheep a merry little tune
To welcome the stars

Birds of the rainbow
Create a stunning picture
Of scenic colours
