A Fairytale Land

by Jenni Marie   May 15, 2007

Tears strolling down her face
Wondering what life is about
Wishing sadness to melt away
To live a life without doubt.

Tired of tears streaming free
Of wasting countless fake smiles
Pretending everything is fine
When in reality she's filled with guile.

She used to be so happy
Excitement filled her life
Now all she does each day
Is feel engulfed in strife.

To her, nights are like heaven
Time when she sleeps without thought
Dreaming of a fairytale land
Where no pain is brought.

Remembering a happier place
When her soul was light and carefree
Wouldn't everyone be surprised to know
That dreaming girl is me.
