In my attic there is a story
Of a man made cocky from all his glory
He was David the prince of a small town
And sure enough he was about to get the crown
All the women in the land fell in love
With the man who had a face from above
He rode around on his horse all day
Only a fool would mess with me he would say
People told legends of their heroic young leader
Stories of dragons, knights, and him turning a brave man into a pleader
He knew he was extremely handsome
So he gloated while eating some damson
There were very few in the kingdom who did not see David that way
And one was a young girl whose name was May
May was very poor and didnt have a lot of grace
But she did have an amazingly beautiful face
May looked at things from another view
And noticed that the things you truly need to fear were few
One day the prince was out on a walk
He ran into May and they started to talk
She saw that the prince was actually very sweet
He seemed to just sweep her off her feet
David fell in love at first sight
And before they knew it out came the night
They laughed and flirted so much
They lost track of time with all their fun and such
Dark eyes watched them, stalked them, from the bushes
Making noises, very quiet hushes
May and the Davids muscles slowly tighened
Both of them were a bit frightened
David yelled out Who dare stalk me?
May couldnt help but let a giggle free
For she saw things from another way
So she had something she needed to say
David theres... but she was interrupted
Shush he stepped closer but the creatres face was obstructed
Again May tried to explain
But David was off in another plane
He crept closer and closer without making a sound
There was complete silence all around
Then out of the silence BOO! May yelled out
David almost began to shout
Then out of the bushes it came a hopping
A little bunny whose ears were flopping
I tried to tell you Was all she could say
And on Davids face was a look of dismay
May leaned over and gave him a kiss
The dismay surely turned into sweet bliss
So in the end our young hero
Ended up looking like a complete zero
The young heroine saved the day
And the prince got the girl anyway
