True love

Cornered in by the people around her, she sits and waits for him to come. Seasons past but she doesn't see him again. Her love is gone, taken so quickly from her. His bright smiling face is not there to greet her. She wants so badly to take her life, but knows that she'll pay the price. Her nights grow cold and dark, her days grow long and grey. Many people try to comfort her but her hearts made of stone and no one gets in. Her dreams are filled with him, so she trys so hard to stay asleep. Day is her enemy, night is her friend. Now its been four long years and she still cant get over it. People start to point and ask "why is she so depressed? Its been four years, its time for her to move on." What people don't know is how can she move on when her love for him was so pure and the promise she made to him to be with him forever still in her heart. Now she is grey and old, her children have grown and had some of there own. She lays in bed smiling and laughing with joy. One of her sons come up to her bed. "why do you look so happy? you are suffering and dying!" she grabs his hand with her worn out one and says, "My dear sweet son, i my be suffering now but in just a few hours i will be with your father you see, he came to me last night and said that he has been waiting for me for quite some time. The same goes with me for i have never thought of anything but him." with her last words she gently fell into an eternal slumber. her children cried with sorrow but quickly stopped when they saw a light. clearing they see there mother as was when they were just three and a man they know as there father. There arms are around each other as they said their last goodbye, they slowly faded away with a smile.
