You

by BreeAnna   May 16, 2007

The lights are getting dimmer,
the halls are getting quieter,
I don't know what this feeling is,
but my heart is feeling a whole lot lighter.

I heard about you from friends,
and didn't think it was true,
could it actually be,
that someone existed like you.

Around you I was myself,
funny, stupid, and smart,
but around other people,
we both hid in the dark.

I could not see your face,
I didn't know who you were,
where was the guy I met before,
gone by now I am sure.

The day you come back to find me,
and see me for who I am,
is the day that my prayers were answered,
god sent me a decent man.

It was a very nice message, sentimental and inspiring images. However, some of the flow was a bit difficult to manuever around...pretty good though!

The first stanza was really off, the flow was
Umm... how do I say? Rocky? No, just off.
    Second stanza, darling, amazing :]
It was really simple to me.
    Sometimes it could be good.
    Sometimes that could be bad.
For this poem, it was kind of both.
I loved that it was simple.
But there was no mystery into it.
    Other than that.
    It's sweet.
