I think I carry a torch for her

by Fsams   May 16, 2007

She is really very nice
With two little charming eyes
A short pony hair so nice
And a visage as clear as ice

She is really stunning
Obviously not cunning
She's short and elegant
Industrious and diligent

Like she is beautiful
She is also dutiful
She isn't a pessimist
Obviously an optimist

I'm chuffed about her talks
Spellbinds me when she walks
I like her like my mummy
For being evermore chummy

Whenever I see her, even for a while
She speaks to me with a lovely smile
I think I carry a torch for her
I've never felt like this so far

Grammar point: "Carry a torch for somebody" means to love some one even if he/she doesn't love in return.

This poem was beautiful, though it seemed a little choppy and the line

"A short pony hair with no lice"

took away from it, and I also think the third stanza could use some work. Other then those two areas, the flow was well done and the wording was incredable. Great job!

Very nice poem. The only thing I would change would be

A short pony hair with no lice
maybe you could try "nice" instead of "lice"
because you make it seem like all other grils have lice.

I did like the poem after that line. 5/5
