Fellow Classmates

by Koreena   May 16, 2007

Sitting in this room, looking at the faces, i'm daydreaming of the way i want it to be. None of these faces care about me or even notice i'm here. I just want to stand up and shout at the top of my lungs. NOTICE ME, GIVE ME A CHANCE. I'm just like you in everyway, i bleed red and i cry tears. why do you push me away like im diseased? I've done nothing to you but sit in class from year to year and learn everything you do. So what if im smarter than you? Does that mean i'm not worth talking to. I'm not goin to give up my future for you emotionless faces but i still wish that you would accept me, accept me for who i am and realize that i am human too, and ur faces are haunting me..

"why do you push me away like im diseased? "

We can be so cruel to eachother. We treat people like dirt because they do not fit into this "box" of popularity and approval that we have created in society. We seem to find it okay to outcast people because of their differences. Its wrong. Great poem!

    Take Care.
