Searching for His Dream-Maiden

~ My boyfriend wrote this for me on our 3-month anniversary.
He said it was his frenzied emotions in words; and
that Im his dream-maiden. ~
I love him

Here in my room I lay
Dreaming a beautiful dream.
Of a boy who goes wandring
To places so far away.

He looks for someone,
But cannot find her.
In the eye of his mind he envisions her.

He wonders if such a beauty exists.
So he continues to wander,
In search of his dream-maiden.

He travels many miles
And fords many rivers,
Yet he finds her not.

Discouraged he looks harder.
He climbs mountains
And sails oceans,
Yet cannot find her.

He looks again and again and again,
But his maiden cannot be found.

Disheartened he falls to his knees
And cries to the Lord in grief,
Where is she? Is she not real?

Tears flood his eyes as he gazes skyward,
And finds the eyes of an angel.
A beautiful girl is before him.
She gazes into his eyes.

His maiden found him.
He looked and looked,
But his maiden found him.
What a wonderful dream.
