Growing Infatuation

by Marcus   May 16, 2007

Love starts with an infatuation
I'll learn to love you because your style is infatuating
But I don't want to be in love alone, I need your participation
So whenever love is involved promise me you'll be participating

The infatuation started with a simple attraction
I couldn't resist because your beauty was so attracting
Becoming infatuated with you was just my reaction
If you continue being beautiful my heart will continue reacting

Every other girl is just a distraction
But I'm so focused on you, they're no longer distracting
I just remove them from our equation of love with some subtraction
Whenever they get in the equation I'll continue subtracting

It could end in different ways do you have any suggestions
A happy ending with me and you is what I'm suggesting
Beauty and sincerity is what I saw from your first impression
I just do me and hope my style is equally impressing

I love how you used nouns at the end of one line and the verb with the same root word in the other.
    its really well written .

also, i loved how you used math, like subtracting and equations to show your feelings .

nice job . its a truly amazing and orginal poem.
i've never read anything like that before .

excellent job . keep writing .
