Upon the night there lies a breath
Forever shaken by the stars
Inside the distant heart a death
That sets the soul of whom we are
Content to feel the painful scar
We harness not a memory
But take the hurt inside our heart

A madness dwells forever more
Inside the mind no sanity
The pain has cut the very core
And stayed the voice of purity
