Truth

by Daniel   May 16, 2007

I cant see
Yet eyes I possess
I cant speak
Though my mouth exists
I cant hear
But ears I have
I cant feel
Albeit I have hands and a heart
I dont want to see
I dont want to hear
I dont want to feel

Ignorance

That's different than what I expected. Such an interesting piece. I like how it goes 'I can't' but 'I have' which makes it cool. Flow was off every now and then but the idea stood out. Not much to suggest other than watch for flow probs but great idea.

Ahh ... I love poems that hold different meanings, and this one does it perfectly! In fact I can take it 3 ways, but here's two:

Ignorance can be bliss ... yet ...

    "I don't want to see
    I don't want to hear
    I don't want to feel"

    But you do!

    Nice job. Keep posting!
