A deadly melody, played with a deadly tune -
You knew your time was coming, and soon.
But it dragged you in and wouldn't let go;
Taking you to a place you didn't know.
The way was laden with cobwebs and dust,
But getting there, to the end, was a must.

A phantom appeared and said, "Don't be worried.
We have to leave, I don't mean to be hurried."
So you took his hand; it was cold as ice.
His smile enticed you; it was kinda nice.
His eyes, they flashed a fiery green;
Something like that, you have never seen.

The notes got louder as you went your way;
It was so deep you couldn't tell night from day.
"Only a little farther, my dear. I promise it's close."
For some reason, you believed your gut the most.
Ypu knew that this might not be so good;
As the stones began to be replaced with wood.

It reminds you of a story you once read -
Immediately, he recites the words in your head.
Startled, you pull away, ready to run;
But he anticipated this and laughed as if he won.
The music suddenly stopped and you begin to cry.
