I'll never understand why,
I dont know how it happened,
I thought you'd always be there,
What happened to "for always and forever?"

It feels like just yesterday,
When you would hold me close,
If there was a doubt in my mind,
You always gave me hope.

You have a way with me,
Like no one I've ever known,
You helped me to find my dreams,
You always believed in me.

Every time I see you,
I fall in love again,
Just being around you,
I'll be here until the end.

Maybe you'll never love me,
The way I do towards you,
But part of me will always hope,
That someday we'll pull through.

There will always be a part of me,
That will be with you forever,
Years from now I'll think of you,
And wonder what it'd be like together.

Eventually I'll move on,
I'll fall for someone new,
But in the back of my mind,
I'll be wishing it could have been you.

I hope that you find love,
I really wish the best for you,
But please never forget,
And always remember me.

For you were my first true love,
I always thought we would be,
But if not together,
In my heart you'll always be.

As for now I'm waiting,
So I can really be sure,
That this is how it was meant to be,
If you never come back to me.

Please forgive me for all I've done,
Any pain I've caused,
If I could,
I'd take it all away.

I can't hurt you anymore,
If time and space is what you need,
I won't ask you to stay,
I love you so I'll let you go.

You know I'm always here for you,
If anything every happened to you,
I'd be there as soon as I knew,
I wouldn't leave your side.

I believe that you truly care,
Or you would be long gone by now,
I'll never forget the look on your face,
When you shed those tears because of me.

It was then I really felt it,
At that moment I knew,
The feelings that you had for me,
Were more than I thought they could ever be.

This has all been hard for me,
It's some of the worst pain I've ever felt,
I never thought I'd lose you,
It's tearing me apart.

But after all the pain subsides,
And once my tears run dry,
I know that you'll still be there,
If I ever need you by my side.

Letting go of you,
Is the hardest thing I've ever had to do,
It will take me awhile to accept it,
Because you mean the world to me.

Promise me you will never forget,
The way you felt about me,
And promise me that you'll believe,
I really do love you for always and forever.

You are my best friend,
I won't let that go,
I want you in my life,
For better or worse.

I wish you all the best,
In love and life,
And as your friend I'm always here,
One call and I'm by your side.

There are no words that I can say,
Nothing that even begins to explain,
The way I feel about you,
And all you mean to me.

I can't even find the words to say,
To end this poem I began,
So putting rhyme and rhythm aside,
I love you. Always believe it. Never forget it. I'll never leave.
